Four Core

I love the Myers Briggs Personality Assessment ! And unlike many others, I LOVE labels ~ not because they “box us in” but because they give us strong, stable self-identity roots from which to spread our wings, thus eventually transcending the label, when be become free to just “Be.” Since becoming certified to utilize the statistically valid and reliable Myers Briggs Assessment in 1991, and offering it to HSPs since 1996, both as clients and at the HSP Gatherings, my informal research has shown that the majority of HSPs are INFPs …and I would have to say most HSPs are INFJ, INFP, ENFP or ENFJ.  These Myers Briggs types  are “naturally intuitive” or use their “Feeling” senses to orient themselves to the world?

However, not all HSPs are naturally intuitive or use their Feeling senses.  This would be the case if you are an ISTJ, ISTP, ESTP, ESTJ.

And even though Intuition is strong for the INTP, INTJ, ENTP, and ENTJ, their “Feeling” side is often last to develop.

If you are ISFJ, ISFP, ESFP or ESFJ, your Intuition would be third or fourth develop, thus not as reliable a factor for you when following your Intuition, although still important to develop. In fact, for full spiritual development and individuation (Carl Jung) it is important to develop ALL the functions of your Myers Briggs type, but knowing how and when to use them to serve your authentic self is crucial.

I have met and worked with HSPs from all the 16 different Myers Briggs types.  So again, lesson learned:  Although we HSPs share many similarities, we are not all alike, therefore one size, definitely does not fit all !

If you would like to learn more about the Myers Briggs and the interplay between your MBTI type and the HSP Trait, here is another opportunity to take my HSP & The Myers Briggs teleclass.  This one is especially for the HSPs in the European countries, who due to time zone differences missed the last one.
When:   Two consecutive Saturdays

 9:30  am – 11:0o am Mountain Time – US

Albert EinsteinIn this teleclass you will learn why:
• Many HSPs may have felt they were swimming upstream from the dominate culture;
• HSPs may feel especially challenged to accomplish the goals most important to them;
• There may be more Extravert HSPs than we previously thought;
• There is no such thing as being “right in between” two preferences such as the J and P or E and I; and why this often indicates some sort of turmoil or transition between two preferences;
• Understanding your least preferred function (the inferior function) is crucial to what Carl Jung called “full type individuation;
• The first 12 years of life may have erroneously influenced your Myers Briggs type;
• We need all 16 types and why HSPs need non-HSPs and vice versa;
• Your family of origin or school experience may have erroneously influenced your authentic self; and
• HSPs are often striving toward what Carl Jung has called “full type individuation” and your authentic self

How the HSP-Myers Briggs Teleclass works:
You will need to register make payment no later than Friday, July 19th.  Once payment is received you will be directed to my on-line account with Consulting Psychological Press where you will then take the statistically valid and reliable 93 question Myers Briggs Type Assessment.
Part One: August 3, 2013 (see times above)
After learning about the 8 preferences and what they measure, AND, most importantly, how they overlap the HSP trait, you will self identify your MBTI type. We will use the statistically valid and reliable 93 question inventory for final clarification.
Time: About 1.5 hours – with a break in between
Part Two: August 10, 2013 (see times above)You will learn about the Dominate, Auxiliary, Tertiary and Least Preferred functions of your type as identified in Part One. This is perhaps one of the most overlooked, yet crucial aspects to learning about type and how to apply it in your life.
Time: About 1.5 hours – with a break in between

One of the main goals of the HSP_Myers Briggs Teleclass is for you to leave with a solid understanding of your type.  However, in certain instances, a personal consultation may be needed in order to clarify confusion surrounding your authentic type.  In this case, additional charges would apply.

As part of the this HSP-Myers Briggs Teleclass you will receive a handout package which will include:
