I’ve often thought of the HSP Gathering Retreats much like Forest Gump’s assessment:

“Life is like a box of chocolates:  you never know what you are going to get.”

Out of 32 HSP Gathering Retreats, I’ve learned that no two HSP Gathering Retreats are alike !   If you have ever wondered where HSP Gatherings have been held in the past, you can find out here:   http://lifeworkshelp.com/Retreat_History.pdf

Meanwhile — as to the 32nd HSP Gathering Retreat,  imagine bountiful apple, peach, cherry, and grape orchards;  soft, sandy beaches; wooded trails; and beautiful horses, not to mention 21 beautiful HSPs. These are the attributes which added much richness to the 32nd HSP Gathering Retreat recently held Fennville, Michigan.  I loved how we HSPs came together to deal with a less than perfect “retreat venue” site … going into action without complaining… and making the most of what we had.

Here are a few anonymous comments from Survey Monkey:

“The planned activities were more enlightening than expected. Being around that many HSPs was amazing. The discussions were all wonderfully thought provoking.”

“It truly was a great experience. I think most of us expressed feelings of isolation / loneliness in our lives, but during this event those feelings didn’t exist.”

“I really appreciated all the material that Jacquelyn presented, and Ulla and Penny too, ranging from very specific practical tools for emotional processing, to broad-framework cultural perspectives on sensitivity.”

“I learned I actually have a really good life that suits me as an HSP. My problems with it have been less from veing an HSP, than from my judging it by mainstream standards.”

“I learned that I’m not alone, I’m not abnormal, I’m validated, I matter, and I’m not crazy! I learned also that I have a very special gift to share and teach about as well.”

And, finally, here is a friend and colleague’s experience at her first HSP Gathering Retreat, which she fondly calls “Emily’s Excellent Adventure:  http://www.luminoslistening.com/emilys-excellent-adventure-32nd-hsp-gathering-michigan/#more-2050

I hope you can find a way to join us at one of the 2017 HSP Gathering Retreats.
