Warm Winter Greetings
from Colorado, USA,

photo of JacquelynHappy New Year. Welcome to the 4th issue of my ezine newsletter, and the first one since January 2005! My, time flies. It is my goal to have this ezine published quarterly: Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall. I hope you have all started 2006 with many things to be grateful for. In this issue of HSP Highlights & Insights, I am pleased to announce the 2006 HSP Gathering Retreats, introduce WomenOutdoors retreats in Colorado, share wisdom gained from the loss of my dog Layla, and share a Meditation of Hope and Love for living in an HSP-imperfect world. Finally, there is a new section called: The HSP Gatherings: Frequently Asked Questions. I hope you will enjoy this issue. I welcome your comments at womenoutdoors@yahoo.com

One of the things I am grateful for this year is the first European HSP Gathering Retreat to be held in Somerset, England, April 6 - 10, 2006 at Croydon Hall - www.croydonhall.com . Elaine will be speaking on "What's Special about the HSP's Brain and Body - Scientific Facts and Theories." She will also be with us on Friday evening in a more informal gathering, which will include a personal interview by - me! There are many personal questions I have always wanted to ask Elaine, and I guess now is my chance, although I am a bit nervous about it. Are we ready for this Elaine?

I'll be presenting "What HSPs Can (and Must) Do to Thrive" and will be offering the Myers Briggs Type Inventory to those who have always wanted to take the statistically valid and reliable instrument, and receive an accurate, in depth accounting of their 'official' type and how it relates to being an HSP.

Other 2006 HSP Gathering Retreat Dates (And One Seminar):

February 3-5, 2006 - A seminar taught by Elaine at Kripalu in Lennox, MA. See www.kripalu.org

HSP Gathering Retreats - Elaine will speak for a half day at these HSP Gatherings:

April 6 - 10, 2006 - Somerset, England, United Kingdom. We are currently taking registrations. Private accommodations go quickly. Please go here to register.

June 14-18, 2006 - San Francisco Bay Area (Marin County). The venue has been changed from Santa Sabina to Walker Creek Ranch - www.WalkerCreekRanch.org This gathering will end in time for Father's Day celebration on Sunday, June 18th.

September 23-27, 2006 - British Columbia, Gabriola Island at The Haven, www.haven.ca (We realize these dates fall within the week of Rosh Hashanah and Ramadan. If you are of these two faiths, and would like to share the significance of these important holidays, we invite you to do so.)

Introducing... WomenOutdoors Retreats in Colorado:

photo of Jacquelyn on snowy trailOne of the many things I am grateful for is my nature connection here in Colorado. A deep numinous homing instinct calls me out to the beauty and vastness of the mountains, forests and streams. It is there I can truly retreat into solitude where all my senses are engaged, my emotions flow freely and I am able to recognize all the inner riches of my life. In nature, I am inspired and can see paintings, hear music, write songs, and dance - usually all in my mind ... while soaking in nature's glory.

This experience happened again on the first winter WomenOutdoors adventure January 12 - 16, 2006. I was fortunate to share this time with three HSP women in this magical winter wonderland.

The Colorado WomenOutdoors retreats strive to focus on fostering connections, inspirations, self-renewal and strengths. Click here for the remaining 2006 WomenOutdoors Retreat dates.
